About Us
Building the Infrastructure for Black Commerce in Canada.
The Nod Inc. is a Canadian tech company operating three integrated arms: a social commerce marketplace, an editorial media platform, and a business accelerator. Together, they move Black dollars from awareness to transaction, and Black businesses from idea to market.
Who We Are.
The Nod Inc. is a Canadian tech company. We build the systems, platforms, and infrastructure that Black-owned businesses in Canada need to operate professionally, reach buyers, and grow economically.
We are not a charity. We are not a community initiative. We are a technology company building real commercial infrastructure and the businesses on our platform are proof that it works.
To date, The Nod platform has facilitated over $126,000 in transactions across Canada. That number grows every Friday.
What We've Built
The Nod App
Canada's Social Commerce Marketplace
The Nod App is where Black-owned businesses in Canada sell. Professional digital storefronts, Integrated payments, Radar geo-location so buyers near you find you automatically. You get New deals every Friday, Over 100 businesses, and Thousands of buyers all on One platform.
The Nod Media
The Editorial Voice of Black Commerce
The Nod Media covers the founders, the companies, and the transactions building the Black economy in Canada. A premium magazine. A digital platform. Every story connects to a business you can shop right away on the app.
The Nod Foundation
From Idea to Transaction
Canada’s first tech-enabled, outcome-based accelerator for Black entrepreneurs. The Access Lab runs six structured pathways from business formalization to active selling on The Nod App. We do not graduate businesses into uncertainty. We graduate them into the marketplace.
Why It Exists
Black-owned businesses in Canada are economically active, commercially competitive, and consistently underserved by the systems that determine who gets capital, visibility, and institutional support.
The Nod Inc. was built to close that gap — not through advocacy, but through infrastructure. A marketplace that works. A media platform that covers the economy being built. An accelerator that delivers measurable outcomes.
The result is a platform ecosystem where Black commerce is not a niche — it is a market. One that is trackable, investable, and growing.
Traction
Every dollar tracked. Every transaction documented. This is not a fundraising counter. This is a commerce record and it is updated weekly.
